HarborDrop is a download manager designed for those who find standard browser features insufficient. It positions itself as a complete alternative to the popular Internet Download Manager (IDM), which is organized by Apple’s ecosystem.
Features:
• Accelerated downloads using segmentation: The file is divided into multiple chunks (up to 6 default, configurable), which are downloaded in parallel. This allows for more efficient use of bandwidth and results in higher speeds for large files.
• Download HLS and m3u8 streams: The program can manage videos shared using HLS streaming protocols (m3u8 playlists), which will allow you to download DRM-free videos from multiple sites for offline viewing.
• Browser integration: The extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc (Chromium-based), and Firefox allows you to capture file links, such as any link in a page or multimedia content, and send them directly to HarborDrop.
• Automatic sorting: Rules can be configured based on website domain or file type. HarborDrop automatically organizes uploaded files into their corresponding folders.
• Post-Download Automation: Supports post-download actions, such as opening the folder containing the file in Finder, running a script (AppleScript, Shell, JavaScript), or performing other custom actions.
• Site Grabber: Feature to collect and retrieve all links (or links generated using a particular template) at the specified page depth.
